HELP!!!

Heres the problem. I have this really big hairy green mushroom (I think), its about 4-5 inches across. Right on the back of the base of it, there is a little clump of button polyps that it has moved ontop of and now i noticed that it is not sticking to the polyps and I'm scared that it is going to continue to move upwards its going to fall off of the rock. What can i do to stop this?

move it where you think it's going. It is probably trying to get more light, or flow.

it could also be growing, so you may need to move to to give it room to drow.

How could i go about moving it? Should i just peel it off the rock and cut it up? Would it be similar to fragging a mushroom or should i just move the whole thing to a new rock by itself? How could i attach it? Sorry for all the questions, just a little lost on how to attach something that big, unless i frag it.

take the rock out, chisel it off the rock keeping some of the rock on the underside of the shroom, then glue it to a new rock that is not near anything. hope that helps

If it is a mushroom I usually use a rubber band right across the middle of it.

Normally the pressure of the rubber band will also cause soft corals to split down the middle.
