Hey all,

Here are my results from todays tests. I used Salifert test kits for all tests, with the exeption of the PH (I used both Salifert and a Pinpiont. I need to check calibration on the Pinpoint, it is new though).

Temp:82
Salinity: 1.024
PH: 7.9 (with Pinpoint) and 8.0 with Salifert
Ammonia: <0.25mg/l
Nitrite: 0 (undetectable at least)
Nitrate: 0 (undetectable at least)
KH (dKH): 7.4
Alk: 2.63
CA: 350

Now... PH, KH, ALK and CA are all a bit low. Can I get some suggestions as to supplements? brnd and name...

The Temp isn't much of a concern right now. It may be affecting some of my results, but not by much. I will be changing things around soon, and going to external pumps, which will lower my water temps some.

Thanks

Rich

ps. On a side note, I do have 4 pieces of coralin the tank. 3 SPS and one Cap which are showing polyp extension except one piece of SPS.

Salinity i would bring it up to 1.026
Temp i would bring down to 79 no more then 82 if you are keeping softies that is ,and some fish wont like the higher temps .Drip Kalk at nite time ,that will help with the CA ,alk ,but watch you ph tht it wont drop .

What are you all using to Dose Kalk with? Any suggestions? so I don't have to run out a second time and buy something else? I would rather get what I need now and make only one trip.

I have read a few sites showing 1 gallon milk containers of RO/Kalk and gravity feed it... is this reliable and safe?

Thanks

Rich
