Can I drill an AGA 10 Gallon Tank

Is it possible or will the whole thing break? I need about a 1" hole. If it is possible can anyone hear on the boards do it for me.

I see plenty of people drilled their tank. And I read plenty of people cracked their tank while drilling. Well, 10G tank is cheap, it will be a good practice I guess. I wouldn't drill any expensive tank. I know one LFS drill the tank for $20.

Can you please tell me the name of this LFS and where is it located?

Last time i tried drilling a 20gal tank i used a diamond bit to make a hole and then used a dremel to carefully chip away at the glass. I don't recall the bit i used to chip away though, might have been a glass cutting one. Just make sure to use plenty of liquids to keep the glass cool.

LFS is on New Jersey. It's call The Fish tank, it's on Route 46. I was thinking about buying a tank from them and they told me they can drill a hole for $20. I am sure you can find some glass shop near your place and get a drill much cheaper.

AGA 10G tanks have a tempered bottom you will not be able to drill the bottom. The walls are another story and can be done. I have one

Well I dont want to drill the bottom, just one of the walls, to be used as an overflow. It is going to be used as a seperate refugium connected to my main display.

i can help you drill the tank if you want. but only 1" bulkhead..
