you sure you can't squeeze and extra inch back there?? The remora is only 2.75" deep...

or you can put the skimmer on the side of the tank- not as neat looking, but it would still work..

or just drill the tank and put the skimmer in the sump!

dont' know about the cost- but how big is your tank? The remora box is pretty large and I wouldn't use it in anything smaller than a 30g- it would take up a lot of room...

yeah, right now i just have a 45 gallon... it doesnt say the dimensions of the box, but yeah i would worry about space especially blocking out light. this is temporary though, i expect to move within a year so i'm holding off on getting ~ a 75. i guess i could buy the box now and if its too big, save it for the bigger tank?

(i no longer like overflow tanks because of past overflow issues :eek1:)

if you going to upgrade, why not just get a bigger skimmer now and use it for 75 later. saves you trouble and money down the road. i.e. asm g3, deltec...

yeah maybe i should wait it out, i don't see why a skimmer for a lil tank like 45gal has to be so expensive (around $160ish)

whats the back of tank clearance i need for the aquaC PRO? the PRO is for tanks 75 and bigger, mostly.... and comes with the mag 3.
