Sleekest Hang On Skimmer???

have like only 2" clearance back of tank (45 gal) i'm considering setting up SW or reef. ... is there any hang on skimmer or mechanical filter skimmer combo that will fit?

you sure you can't squeeze and extra inch back there?? The remora is only 2.75" deep...

or you can put the skimmer on the side of the tank- not as neat looking, but it would still work..

or just drill the tank and put the skimmer in the sump!

Squeeze out another 1" and you could use an AquaC Remora.

dont' know about the cost- but how big is your tank? The remora box is pretty large and I wouldn't use it in anything smaller than a 30g- it would take up a lot of room...

yeah, right now i just have a 45 gallon... it doesnt say the dimensions of the box, but yeah i would worry about space especially blocking out light. this is temporary though, i expect to move within a year so i'm holding off on getting ~ a 75. i guess i could buy the box now and if its too big, save it for the bigger tank?

(i no longer like overflow tanks because of past overflow issues :eek1

if you going to upgrade, why not just get a bigger skimmer now and use it for 75 later. saves you trouble and money down the road. i.e. asm g3, deltec...
