Anyone have any good/bad experiences with LFS stores on LI, (more nassau than suffolk but I would take the ride if it is worth it) I was in a store this weekend and a chocolate chip starfish was melted/decomposing in the tank. It was really sad... |

Country Critters in Patchogue (Suffolk) has nice stuff. Pricing is questionable sometimes but they do have frag tanks and unique animals. There is another place called suffolk County fish and reef (http://www.suffolkcountyfishandreef.com/index.html). You could hit both in the same trip. |

Also Pets Warehouse in Copiague on Sunrise Highway--not too far off Southern State or LIE. They have a lot of SW fish, good selection of corals (with average LFS prices), sometimes clams.
