Sad, Sad Day

Well, to all those Yankee fans out there it was a good run we had. I don't think Joe will be back next year and opening day will be tough without him. Till then....................

Tough loss. I hope Torre is back. Remember, Yankee mgmt also said they would NOT give in to Clemens demands. And what did they do? They gave in. They said they would not negotiate with ANY player until the end of the season. And what did they do? They tried to negotiate with A-Rod in July.

I still think Torre could be back, regardless of what George said.

Let's go Rockies

You are right. I really thought that Torre earned his position this year in regular season. However, Yankees got such a high standard, this is another failure season despite what you guys accomplished on regular season. Another thing about firing Torre, if you do, Pettite and several other players may not signed with Yankees.

If you see the line up for next year Yankees, it's just unbelievable. It's really hard to believe but I think next year is even better than this year, if you keep Torre.

Just get one more Ace pitcher in, you are all set. Even if A-Rod walk away, I still think Yankees is going to be ok. But Torre needs to stay.

i don't have problem with Torre not coming back. in the past 3 years, it had been getting more difficult for us to be in the race each passing year, this year if it is not for ARod we would not even be playing in october, he did not manage the guys well.

I do like Torre but we needed a change more

Seem kind of weird without Torre.

Anyway wonder why no one ever talks about Jeter, the guy was just simply horrible. How many killer double plays did he ground into to end the inning. He just simply kill the team with his offense.

Any player can have bad series in Baseball, even Jeter, hard to believe right? But Jeter is a proven clutch player and he will be great next playoff, no doubt.

So who's coming back next year as Yankees?

Torre, ARod, Rivera, Jorge Posada, Bobby Abreu, Andy Pettitte and Roger Clemens

I definately think Roger Clemens is going to retire this year.

And if Yankees signed them, how much do you think they are going to make?

Clemens - gone (if not, I'm going to cancel my YES network )

If Torre is ousted, Posada, Rivera & Pettitte are questionable.

ARod will sign for $30M to whoever wants to pay it.

I would love to see them sign Andruw Jones for center. Move Melky to right. Leave Matsui in left. Keep Damon as DH & backup OF. Dump Giambi already.
