Reefer Ratings: (11) Friends: (1) | "The Happening" Movie
Saw M. Night Shyamalan's lastest movie The Happening with Mark Walhberg last night and I don't even know why I bother going to the movies anymore ... It seems as if some of these movies are running out of ideas ... This latest movie w/o giving it all away started decent and ended horribly unrealistic ...Its funny to think about it, just how many terrorist/alien attack movies can you create? Well this def takes the whole attack on the northeast to a whole new weird level... plus the fact that unless you go to an old fashion threatre it costs over $20 to see the stupid flick ... 1 star for me ... ![]()

That stinks. I was looking forward to going to see it. I'm not going now. Thanks for sharing.

Reefer Ratings: (16) Friends: (2) | I went because I was forced to, and had hopes after finding out that it was the same director as the sixth sense. Saw this last week some time.OMG from the very beginning of the movie the acting was horrible (btw...why is Mark Wahlberg's name the only name before the title of the movie and the name of the director??). Every single actor in the movie was just...horrible. The story was...just awful (if they are going to smack the viewer in the face about what science is and what it is not...they could at least try to get a plausible story with a decent explanation except for fanatic dribble). I can't even say that the movie was a score for the environmentalist effort...because it wasn't. They ruined that possibility by making it more of a love story.Btw...if you are going to have a child in a film that only has 2 lines, and only has a purpose to 'bring the adults together' at least have a kid that can...act/fake cry/breathe in a believable fashion.... If there was a good environmental/purposeful message in this movie I would still recommend it, even with the bad acting, and giant plot holes. Unfortunately...I must remain harsh. |
