After waiting practically forever for this game to be released, I finally downloaded it, and it is awesome. Is anyone else playing it? And what planet are you on so our creatures can meet up lol.

For those who dont what the game entails, you create a microscopic organism and guide it throughout its own fully unique evolution into a more advanced creature, having it interact with other players as it advances through its optimal adaptive design (guided by you)

I don't think there's monthly fee..but Orion, is it true there's a monthly activation or validation and that there are only 3 install times and that after that it's gone?

hmmmm i dont know. the way i see it is, if its a good game, and i play it all the time, it is worth it for me to pay a small monthly fee to continue to have fun. It allows the developers to keep their jobs, making more improvments to the game I like. I also am more likely to see a sequel in the future. If I goto a movie with my wife (feels weird saying that, gettin married on saturday) it can cost me like 50 bux for what, an hour and a half of entertainment? With a progressive game like this, I can have fun for countless hours, monthly fee or not. Ppl forget that there are massive teams of developers that need to eat too (can you tell I goto school for game design?) lol.

I haven't gotten a chance to pick it up. will do so next week. by the way is it possible to use some of the creatures created in the spore creature version?

i dont know, but after playing the game, you will prob want to start from scratch anyways, the intro tidal pool sequence of the game is a real trip.
