Zoos not opening up...

I have a number of zoos in my tank but for some reason, one of them has not been opening up lately. And it is one of the bigger colonies I have. approximately covering a 8"x8" rock. I have had it for at least 3 months.

Any ideas why???

I don't understand what you are saying. If you meant the zoo colonies disagree, they are all far apart from each other. Three colonies open up but for some reason, the fourth one does not.

keep an eye out for 'irritators' - things like spaghetti worms, etc. that would touch and keep the zoos from opening...

I just meant that something changed. If everything was exactly the way it was three days ago, then they too would be exactly the same as they were three days ago. If you didn't create this change in the tank then something else did. Smart money says pests or irritants.
