sump/refugium

I'm interested in setting up a refugium. I have a model 1 oceanic sump. Can I set up a refugium inside my sump? Thanks

Usually in the sump you could add baffles to an area to reduce the flow a little annd put sand, plants and L/R and a light over it and you're set. I don't know if that came out right.
