Hosts for clowns

Wondering about options for providing a host to a clown.

Current widowed clown has taken to my frogspawn. Quite fun to watch and almost feel sad for clown when lites go out and fs shrinks.

Also have a lovely hammerhead but noone really goes near it. Will that be an attractive host to the second clown i eventually get?

I'm not real interested in anenomes cause of the way they supposedly move around the tank and disrupt things. So are there any other corals that might be good substitutes?

Thanks

Some coral substitutes I've heard of:
  • Frogspawn
  • Torch
  • Hammer
  • Mushrooms
  • Heliofungia
  • Goniopora
  • Alveopora
  • Leathers
  • Xenia

chasesng,

My clowns are weird. The female hosts a sinularia and the male hosts a colony of zoos nearby. Go figure.

So whats the best site to check out these corals

Thanks for all the suggestions and glad to know the clowns (as a whole) are flexible in their hosting choices.

But a couple of the sites I checked to see what the corals looked like, didnt have some of the photos for one reason or another.

So what are your favorites for pics or info on compatibility, care etc.?

My pair host in my monster cladiella (colt) as well. They enjoy the "slimy" feel of it I imagine.
