I've cut 1/4" with a score cutter. You just have to make a few passes at the cut. And you also have to make sure you get the edges of the sheet scored really well. But you can't beat the routered edge for clean glue lines. I bought a cheapo ryobi router table at HD for $100. add a $15 flush cut bit and you're good to go. B

If you have a chance, you can go to a hardware store (the old fashioned kind), and they can cut it for you. Usually a dollar per cut. That will give you nice clean cuts, then you can sand or rout it. Or get an acrylic scorer make a few passes, use a metal ruler as your guide... and crack it.
