Hello all, Not sure if this is the right place to post this, if not sorry. I am looking for someone in Queens who is willing to help me set up a reef tank. I am willing to compensate you for your time with money or maybe getting you a fish here and there. I am very interested in learning all there is to and would be a great student. Anyone interested in helping someone learn about reef/fish tank set up and maintenance. Thanks! |

Welcome to Manhattan Reefs! ![]() First step in learning is to read the threads stuck atop this forum. You'll be better prepared to understand what someone is telling you about reefing. |

Welcome to MR, many people here will be able to help you out. Tell us what you are looking for in a tank and we can help you further. Take a look in the beginner forum and at the tank threads to get some ideas.

I'm in Flushing, Queens. Do you have any equipment yet? Or looking to buy everything from scratch? You would need to figure out what you want to have, Fish only, or reef. If reef, then you would want to decide what type of corals you want to have and then we can decide how to set it up. |

Hey all, I am picking up a 48 gal tank on sun. It has everything but the skimmer, lights, and an overflow/sump. Later on I will probably get all the great options like a wave simulater and other great things that will make my tank awesome. I would like to get all the colorful/beautiful corals and plants I can. I am really looking for someone who is close to Rego Park who has time to come and help me with the initial setup. |

Hi! I'm a SW newbe myself, but I live close to Rego Park. If it involves lifting and some basic stuff, I can help. My reef/SW knowledge is still being developed. :-) PS Where in Rego Park? |
