i did a water change about 15% but i added to much salt to my new batch now it tank read 1.028 @ 79-80 deg. should i be worried or should i do another wc?

Have any unsalted rodi water on hand?
If not..make some
Take some water out of your sump (I'd do about 1 gallon at a time) & slowly add in unsalted water to the first chamber so it mixes before it gets to your tank..keep doing that until your SG is where you want it to be...over a few hours if you're home today.

..assuming you'll be checking the sg the next time...

If you have livestock in there it could really stress everyone out ... happened to me, not fun (hydrometer stopped reading correctly)

I've been in this hobby 6-7 years now and I finally 8 months ago got a refractometer ,I had 3 of those plastic hydrometers and they were all giving wrong readings throw those in the garbage and get a refractometer the $50 I spent on mine at drfoster was well worth it
your reading of 1.028 might really be 1.025 but then again it could be 1.031 thats what results I was getting from my hydrometers .003 difference
if you need to get an actual reading before you do anything your welcome to come to my house with your water and I'll check it for you the R,G,V trains stop on the corner of my house or if you drive I'm 15 minutes from midtown IF theres no trafic
