Question I haven't kept a tank in a while

I just set up my tank about 2 weeks now. 210 gal, sump filtration, 200 lbs of live rock (cured), and a mix of live sand mostly, and some argonite...
Everything has been stable...
ph 8.4, ammonia 0, akalinity was high is now normal 1.7 - 2.2 range,

I added 2 skunk clowns (real small like 1 inch and they rule) and a fire fish.
Today my nitrate is .1
and my live rock has been covered with a brownish- gold algae.

I'm nervous should I be concerned about it?

I have a bunch of questions but im going to read the guide on this board but just was looking for a quick answer on the algae its the only fluctuation i see.

-thanks

Dont worry about the algae that happens when your tank is new, are you using RO/DI water?

I agree with Rich, Frank and Nick.

The MOST IMPORTANT ingredient you can add right now is patience. Allowing your tank to complete its cycle and mature a bit will get you to a level where you'll have success and want to continue with this hobby. Rush into it and you'll wind up being one of the 'For Sale' threads looking to to get out for $.10 on the dollar.

Just some old man, tried and true, words of wisdom.

swimmer

BTW, I should have said it first.........Welcome to MR.

Welcome to MR! I agree with everyone on this thread, and leave you with the age old reef keeping cliche'....

"The only thing that happens fast in this hobby is disaster."

Best of luck to you!
