tape vs saltwater

I'm looking to attach a pair of ecoplus lunar lights to my tank. Tank is a 40g long and lit by a 48in T5.

I was thinking the simplest way is to use velcro or 2 sided tape on the underside of the light fixture. But will saltwater creep/evaporation eat away the tape quickly?

"Quickly" is a relative term - maybe in a year and 1/2 (depedning on how close the evaporation is to the exposed area) -

I would use velcro and go from there.

I've used that industrial strength velcro sold at lowes and HD.

It's stuck everywhere except in the section I have the ballasts in.

Heat is not it's friend. Near the T-5's might be a problem.
