Reefer Ratings: (19) Friends: (0) | Bigger Pump for Skimmer
Just thought I'd thow this piece of advice from my experiences. When in doubt go with a bigger pump for a skimmer than what usually comes with the skimmer. My Aqua C urchin Pro for example came with with a rio 1700 (which blows), but i upgraded to a mag 7 and the results are night and day. I literally got about 3 times the skimmate from the mag 7 than i did with the rio. Im not saying go all out or anything, but having a stronger pump definitely helps. |
