Just be careful on Mandarin's - just because you have bugs doesn't mean you'll get one that is going to eat. The one I picked up the other day from CTX is actually eating (thank goodness - it would have never survived otherwise).

Last time I bought one successfully, I rescued it for $11 from Petco. I would check the one on 86th street - they usually carry them.

Hey, Jim.. How is the mandarin doing? Did you get it to eat prepared or frozen food? If you did, I want to know the formula.. So When my tank is capable, I would do the same thing..

I heard the most important thing on getting a mandarin is make sure it eats and of course if he/she eat frozen and pallents food, that would be Great even if it cost a little more!!

When does FT get their shipment. I need a few things and wanted to go. I went on Thursday and their tanks with coral looked like crap? Has anyone bought live rock from them? They have it at a good price and I need some for a new system I'm going to start up.

As far as I know, their shipment normally arrives every Monday. My mandarin is from FT and now more than healthy, she loves pods and frozen blood worms.

I like how aquacon has there site set up. It makes me want to buy more fish though. If aquacon is okay with everyone we can start a posting in the group buy board.
