i had this surgeon tank about 3 years...its 1' Long and 4-5" in width. i have to many fish in mt 155. it eats everything and very clean...no scrathes or cuts...i asking for $70 p/u in queens village area...

only person that I know of on this forum that has a big enough tank for that beauty is Frank with his 400 some odd gallon otherwise maybe the aquarium is the best place for this amazing fish :birthday:

Nice looking fish. Hard to tell what it is but marrone is the fish expert. Too bad I already have a PBT and a sohal among the others.:biggrin: Do you have a better pic. If the sale falls throu, I am interested.

I guess not, what size tank would be ideal for a 1' fish?

I'm very lazy in talking pictures and because they're very activity it's hard to get a good picture of them but I'll try.

They're get very large, as do almost all of the Acanthurus, and really should be in tanks that are very large, at least 6'+ with plenty of swimming space. In the end unless you have a very large tank, 8'-12'+, they should probably be kept just in public aquariums. If you've been to Atlantis you would see a bunch of them in their big reef tank, which will show you how large some get.
