hey, i was/am looking for one. Paid for one on RC and the guy disappeared on me!!! So i guess if tim/jim?? passes i'll take one with darealdvs1....I can always just resale it if the guy on RC ever responds

noodleman; sorry to hear that. Man that really bites$$$. I hate RC because of that. Too impersonal. I'm waiting to hear back from Tim (derm). If he doesn't take it I'll sell them to you and Phil. I hope the guy on RC comes through. Did you paypal him? I paid for something on ebay via paypal and filed a claim. I eventually got the money back. Can you file a claim ?

I paypaled him last week, and he just disappeared on me. I'm going to give him till this weekend and still no word guess i'll have to file a claim. Good thing i have a tendency to save all my pm's and such.

OK Everyone. I made a big mistake. Mea Culpa.

When I bought this 120g with the ballasts I remember that he was lighting his tank with single ended 250W bulbs and vho's. He had ice caps ballasts for both. So when I told him I didn't want the the metal halides with mogul reflectors I presumed he gave me the 660 ballast.

So off to a new thread for 2 250W ice cap electronic mh ballasts manufactured in 8/03 and 11/03.

	MH Metal Halide Lighting, typically used for high intensity light demanding corals such as SPS. Bulbs come in varieties of spectrums (7k, 10k,20k), and intensity (175W, 250W, 400W).

	VHO Very High Output Fluorescent Lighting - Fluorescent bulbs that run on special ballasts and have an output that is significantly higher than normal tubes. It is very possible to run an entire reef system on VHO lighting providing the proper number of bulbs and mixture of spectrums are chosen. For most hobbyists, these tubes are used in conjunction with Metal Halide lighting for simulating dawn and dusk. They often provide the "bluer" end of the light spectrum and thus a more aesthetically appealing display.
