Nice Start but you have some water quality issues. Your phosphates are VERY high. If you're curious how I know this without testing your water, look at the green algae and cyano on your glass. On a 120gal the berlin turbo skimmer is wayyyy underpowered for you needs, regardless of the skimmer rating (these skimmer companies lie). For long term success, and to bring out the nice colors of your corals, you need a better way to keep your tank clean. There are quite a few ways and combinations you can do this. 1) Skimmer upgrade 2) Ozone 3) micron bags 4) carbon 5) phosban 6) increased water changes 7) less feedings 1-3 are more permanent choices that will continually keep your nutrients low. Think of 4-6 as bandaids to help correct your failing filtration system. Choice 7.....is what it is ![]() HTH |

I thought that prodibio adds certain types of bacteria to the tank at higher concentrations that will out-compete the bacteria that is already in the tank that is not desirable? And yes thank you jackson6745 for the info, and I am in the process of getting a new skimmer. |

Yeah, thats what they advertise and I don't know the ingredients, but whose to say other bacteria doesn't take advantage. Ivan's tank was established and probably low nutrient before prodibo was used. I'm believe prodibo will help in certain situations but if you already have cyano thats not one of them.
