Time for another update, it has been 3 months since disaster struck the tank. But with all the ups and downs of this hobby, I did not give up. From the disaster a couple of fish made it. As of now the coral seem to be okay, and their is about 12 fish in the tank.
I am still running ozone, Kaldness media, carbon.
water parameters have not changed, they are as follows.
9.0 dkh, 500 Cal, 1300 mag, nitrates at 15, phosphates at .10,
I am still running a 12 hour cycle with my Rapid Onyx, led fixtures.
Whites only

White and Blues.

And a FTS with blue and whites

The fight must go on! Really glad to know you didn't throw in your towel. Like you said, these situations only make us more wise and careful with what we do and put into our beautiful aquariums.
Btw, did you also loose the SailFin Tang you picked up from me years ago?
