It would be best you mention what's the minimum dimension(such as to hold a certain skimmer) and the maximum dimension, such as limitations of your space. Or else you may be flooded with too many offers not suitable for your case.

The footprint of a standard 75g tank is 48" x 18". Anything smaller than that will work. You can use a 40g breeder which is 36" x 18". You just need to make sure that the front to back measurement is a full 18" of clearance. That size sump will also leave you 12" x 18" of space to the side of the sump.

You can also go smaller with a 20g sump as well. You want to fill the sump only half way at most. You need to leave room in the sump for overflow from your display in case of a power outage.

Sounds like a plan.

If you can add baffles into the sump to act as a bubble trap, a chamber for your skimmer and another chamber for your return pump you'd have a nice sump there.
