I just saw these little translucent things scurrying aorund on my LR. The have little antennae and are about 3 mm. long. Any ideas to what these are? Thanks!
I was hoping it my be those. They do look like centipedes, and there's a bunch all over the LR. They move pretty quickly, too. Which kind of pod is it?
OK, so they don't look like centipedes but like little pillbugs instead. They're everywhere now, even on the glass now. I'd say some are about .5 cm. long. If amphis are centipedes, then are copepods the pillbugs? Thanks!
Amphipods look very similar to pillbugs, a little "C" shaped body. Copepods are much, much smaller, and you usually see them as little white dots on the glass. Anything that looks like a centipede is probably a polychaete.
Maybe I'm giving you the wrong description, as I googled amphipods and the pictures I got didn't look like what I have!
They are basically a translucent white. They are about .5 cm. long and have at least 3 pairs of legs, antennae, and these rear thingies. Ovular in shape. Still amphis?
