Active Reefer
This weekend I had something new appear in my display tank. It looks sorta like a tiny white snail shell. Very hard to see. They are less than 1mm across. They are crunchy to the touch. They appear to be stationary. I tried to get a picture but it's about 4 pixels total! Under a magnifying glass they look like they have a white translucent aura. This could be bonding fibers or some goo. They also are very easily removed with a mag-float.

I believe the origin was a bag of Cheato from my LFS. They were concentrated very heavily on a few strands in the fuge.

Any ideas?

Spirorbidae Sp. worms. Many species but are harmless filter feeders.
