Persuant to the "System Stability" thread, I've been trying to glue down all of my corals. I got a frag of birdsnest from another MR member as a sort of "experiment" that is doing surprisiing well in my tank. Unfortanately, it's constantly being knocked around my crabs and things. I want to glue it down, but it's got growth tips all over it.

Is there any particular area that I should be targeting as the place to glue it so that it will grow into the proper circular birdsnest formation?

It doesn't matter which point you choose to glue it from. Up will always be up.

Circular? Do you mean a monti cap? If so glue the underside to something so that it "sits" on top of it. You can assist the swirls by making slight "cuts" (from the edge inward) and as it "heals" it won't fuse back together but instead grow apart and swirl.
