Has anyone had any experience training a tubastrea to come out when the lights are on? I have read that if you squirt mysis juice on them daily at the same time every day then they should get accustomed to the feeding and come out. I have been doing this for about a week now and the polyps will come out halfway but not fully. When I wake up in the morning and the lights are off the polyps are out fully. Does anyone have any insight?

I feed mine the same time every other day, but they are open at that time every day. They learn to open at that time everyday. You can also feed them in the morning too. Good Luck!

squirting mysis juice will make them come out, but after they come out, you have to actually feed them.

Squirt juice then feed after they open up at the same time every day. In a week they will be trained at that time. Its as simple as that.
The problem is that when i squirt mysis juice the polyps won't open far enough so that they will eat. This only happens when the lights are on. When the lights are off they come out fully with no problem. I guess I should just keep trying to get them to come out during the day.
