Underwater Waterfalls

I just saw this on youtube, pretty amazing! Anyone ever try making something like this? I was reading up on it and basically there is an airstone in a pvc pipe that lets the air bubbles pull sand up the tube to create the "waterfall" effect. Not so sure it would work as well with saltwater because of all the powerheads we use

i use to have a decoration in the 90's that did this. It didnt last long because the sand ended up all over the place. It was fun to watch while it lasted though.

I've seen a few videos online. Always wanted to set one up but it's definitely a freshwater planted thing. Could be possible in a fish only tank though.

I'd love to see it with some nice sw fish swimming by
