Modifying cube sump...

I recently purchased a 60 gallon cube and it came with a 20x20x18 sump that has no compartments. I want to set the tank up with equipment I already own. Does anyone see any issues with the way I'm looking to setup the sump?

I have 2 60g cubes and sumps made from custom king. Where would you put the filter sock? if you plan on adding 1?
