refugium lighting

hey guys what do you suggest on a refugium light? should i go get a lamp from home depot or should i order a refugium light from one of these online aquarium stores?

would a bulb from home depot be sufficient or should i get a LED fuge light?

When i 1st set up i had the hd light it worked fine.. But switched it out for a cpr light. For a cleaner look. But thats just me im anal..lol

bought a PAR38 6500K from 1000lightbulbs.com.
I use it in a clip on shop light from HD.

I use eggcrate to hold the light over the fuge. I do not trust those clip-ons.

Home depot cfl r40 daylight bulb. It's 5k. Perfect for macro

What kind of a fuge dyu have? I've used Ikea dioder LED's with no issues for Chaeto (Will need to be screwed into a hood of some sort. I also use a coralife T5 mini light.

getting one from custom made not sure what it looks like as of yet.

i always had trouble growing chaeto until i decided to diy a led fixture with 12 white leds. I shined the light through the side panel of my sump and my chaeto grew from a small 5" ball to completely filling a 13"x12"x9" compartment in my sump in less than a month. My chaeto is a brighter green than most chaeto i've seen grown under normal bulbs.
