LED Lighting

What's reasonable good LED lighting (hang on edge of aquarium and not ceiling or side mount) for sps/lps tank?

My tank is 75G 48x18x20 so its not tall. Don't want to spend more than $1200.

Do I need 48 inch or 36 inch in length?

ACAN lighting can light your tank for under that amount.
They are very nice units made on Long Island and sold in a few LFS.

I think you could light that tank with 2 104AC-12B.

Thanks, i was looking at it, will have to find out how to mount the two units on top my tank , since i only want to use th brackets to mount it over my tank. Rather have 48 inch or 36 inch across.

Acan Lighting makes threaded rods to connect two fixtures together, then just use the legs to mount on outside edges of the tank

I would get two shorter units over one long one.
You wont lose any light due to the cross piece and they are more upgradable when you get a different tank.

The stands are pretty cool and you can connect them together in the middle like Jaftica posted.

I have a two inch Eurobrace on my 75g acrylic. May go for the threaded rods to connect two fixtures together as per Jaficam, but will need to mount it over the edge of tank. looks like these units are $699 each.

I was looking at 18 inch ones. My tan is 48 long and 18 wide. the $495 are the 12 inch?

The 18th are the ones i was looking at but they're around $699. How about two Ecoxotic panorama pro they're 18x15 and show handle sps/lps also.

Get T-5's and all problems solved...and your tank will have color..lol

I've been running Tx5 T-5s for a few years, working great for my corals, but looking to advance into LEDs (saving electric bills, better color pops and bulbs replacements...etc).

your best bet is to ask around, I had the acans, i like the t-5's alot better
