I need an external skimmer for my 180 gallon with 75g heavily stocked fowlr. I can't do internal as the height of the sump to height of tank is too tall.

Thanks for advice

Hey! How is everything?!?

Do you think that would be overkill on a 180 gallon w/ 75g sump? It looks like the XP 2000 is only rated up to Rated up to 200gal. (180gal Heavy).
$619.95

I was also looking at the SRO 2000 External rated up to 200g heavy. $535.

I've never ran an external skimmer, might need you to help or Anthony :) :Starwars:

the xp line is a true cone where sro is semi cone? in your case, 180 display and a 75 sump would probably be about 200-210 total volume....i would go with the 3000 not the 2000.
there are many ways to set up an external....it depends on how much room you got. you will also need a feed pump and may need to build some sort of a stand. i can help with plumbing but you'll have to get anthony to help with building a stand. i'm avail. on most sundays.
