I use a pan world external pump, I notice there's a bit of a vibrating noise passing throughout the intake to the sump glass. I know I can add vinyl tubing to reduce vibrations but that isn't a choice right now. I do not want to tare down the sump.

Has anyone put sound dampening materials on the sump itself to stop the vibrations from traveling? My stand is not closed off yet but I'll be adding a 1inch thick front panel soon.hopefully that helps too

In car audio we use dynomat to obsorb vibrations and keep rattle down. My pump vibrates a little much because my manifold is capped and restricting flow until the setup is complete. Hopefully wide-open valves will help. I avoid vinyl because my pump is in my basement and god forbid my dog who chews any thing goes for it some day which wouldn't surprise me one bit. He eats garden hoses haha
