2x Radion XR15's or 1x Radion XR30 ?

I got a Red Sea max reefer 250 (3ft tank) and can't decide what's the better option between the two. Anyone have any recommendations what the best choice is ?

never used xr15's but I can tell you that one xr30 will not cover a 3ft tank.

I had a gen 2 with wide angle lens and it didn't even cover a 24" tank properly.

I have the same tank and put up two gen 3 xr pros. I dont have water in the tank yet but when i had 1 on it didnt seem so great. Two 15s would be best.

I think you have to decide based on what corals you want to keep, and to what level you expect growth/color. If you look at people having success with SPS and LED they usually have quite a few modules over the tank. If you only want softies and some lps you can get away with less. I would venture 2 XR15's will leave you wanting more light if you want to have really good SPS growth and color. Its always a good idea to look for other people running the same equipment and gauge how well its working for them. Especially with the price tag of these modules.

Thanks for all the feedback. I went with two xr15 pros. I think that should be good enough for sps.
