Teem Reefs,
Could one advise me on the flow situation in my biocube?
I currently have a return pump with random flow rotating head (Chamber 3);
Blocked bottom input on chamber 1 (to encourage skimming) and a powerhead (constant flow) pointing in opposite direction, right under the intake of Chamber 1.
What I'm asking for is what would be the best upgrade for random flow and anemone safe? Was considering an AI Nero 3 with Fishguard?
What do you think?
P.S. Photo will come soon.

I use a hydro koralia nano in my IM 15. It flow is just enough. Most are too powerful .
I'm afraid that if I'd have an anemone Hydor will turn it into a tartare - no?
Was thinking in line of AI Nero 3 pricey or maybe Hygger 1500 - Hygger seems to be affordable, Doesn't have all those gaps (Sucks from the back only) and offers programmability with linkage to the lighting system.
Any opinion on that Hygger? -
Thanks!

The AI Nero 3 with Fishguard is a great choice — compact, strong random flow, and generally anemone-safe with the guard. I use one in my 32g and my BTA loves it. Just be mindful of placement to avoid direct blasts.

P.S. This space waves makes me feel like a space pilot dodging asteroids at the speed of sound.

Your current setup with the random flow end of the return pump and the power end under the Room 1 intake is a solid start for general circulation, but I can see why you'd want to upgrade, especially for true random flow for anemones.

This really requires good knowledge and experience. Different models have different capacities. Anemones are flow sensitive creatures — they need a strong enough flow to metabolize, but not too strong or constantly turbulent to avoid stress and tissue damage.
