i have an adult skeletor eel. He is 2 ft long which is there max and lives in a 120 gallon FOWLR. He needs plenty of rock so he can hide. He hides all day and swims early morning like 3AM. Most of the time i forget i have him cause i never see him. Totally fish safe including small fish (mine was once in a reef tank). I feed once a week table shrimp whole. Totally docile and once again needs lots of rocks so it can hide. Its not even the type of eel that sticks his head out, he totally hides. I have plenty videos on utube showing him feeding etc. Had mine about 3 years now and survived two tank crashes so there hardy as hell. Anyways there easy to care for and mine is thick. Like three markers thick. He eats two whole shrimp with shell and everything like its nothing. Blind as a bat also. Good luck

I have had one for about 3 years. its very similar to my chainlink eel in size and growth rate. Its a little over 2ft and the diameter of ping pong ball. It was in my reef with damsels, clowns amd chromis until a week ago.

What kind of set up do you have?

My setup is a reef 54 corner. I do have a hawaiian dwarf eel in the tank but the Person from live aquaria told me that 50 gallon is fine since they dont move a lot for the skeletor. I have a lot of rock and is aquascaped with overhangs and caves. My assumption that he will get real thick. How often do you feed your eel? Raw shrimp, silversides and squid would be a good diet? Also, when you bought your skeletor...how big and round was it? Mine is currently about 8-9" long and the diameter of a pen. Thank you for the information
