Flow and fowlr setups

I am transitioning from reef to a fowlr setup and was wondering if flow should remain same, less, does it Matter ? Thanks in advance

Depends on the fish. Most tangs, triggers and wrasses like as much random flow as possible with lots of surface agitation. I find angels, puffers and butterflies like a slower less chaotic flow setup.
