Whats up have not been on in a while. I just put together a 75 gal tank after all my fish died from fin rot. i waited about 2 months then took every thing out of my 55 gal tank and put it in my new 75 gal tank. whated about 2 weeks water and eveything fine. put my crabs snails and shrimps and corals in.

LIVE CORAL
Branch hanner coral
Branch frog spown
tood stool lether
some asorted mushrooms
candy cane coral
Orange Zoos

After 4 weeks i bout some fish for the tank.

LIVE STOCK
Orange dimond goby
Green mandarin goby
Clown tang
Cleaner shrimp
Halequin shrimp
About 10 sharlet crabs
Aout 10 nassaruis snails
About 10 turbo snails

I had the fish in my tank for about 4 weeks and i noticed that the clown tang had ich. I started teating the fish with the kick ich stuff and i would see the cleaning shrimp trying to help him. A few days later the clown tang pasted. What do you think i should do. Do you think the other fish in my tank are going to get efected. How long should i wait before i put more fish in my tank. I would like to get another clown tang in the future do you think that is a good idea.

Kick Ich has been tried by other members here and I recall nobody claiming success with this product.

Yes, you should remove your other fish from the tank, ands put NO fish back in there for a minimum 6 weeks (to break the ich cycle) even if they look like they do not have ich, you still need to treat them since they have been exposed.

As Zany mentions, a 75 g tank is way too small for a clown tang that has the potential to grow to 15". Additionally, they are a fish that stresses easily which may well be why yours developed ich in such a small tank.

You say you have a Green Mandarin goby? I'll assume you mean a Green Mandarin..while a 75 g tank while on the smaller side, is not awful for one of these..a tank that is 6 weeks old is a death sentence for it. These fish need an established tank (approx.12 months old) that has a very good pod population. If possible please either return this fish to where you bought him, or sell him. Mandarins are not inclined to get ich due to their heavy slime coat.

I have attached a link with instruction on how to treat Marine Ich.

..and welcome back to MR!
