I gotta get a Black Cap Basslet outta my reef tank. I recently transferred my reef into a bigger tank and got my Marine Betta out of there. Now Ive been enjoying keeping Shrimp for the first time in years. But today I saw the Black Cap munch on one of my "Sexy Shrimp" which are close to my favorite things. I have a Fish-Only I can put him in, but how the heck do I get it out of a 120 Gallon Reef Tank packed with Rock,Corals, etc?

Is there some kind of "master catcher" out there?

thanks for your help,

JFJ

Thanks for your replies. Ive been able to easily catch wrasses and Dottybacks with the inverted coke bottle method. Even though the Basslet is the same body type, it seems to be more cautious, or just not as an aggressive eater.
I know I gotta "starve" the tank for a few days, but what kind of lure-food would the Basslet simply not resist?

Also---

What about catching different shaped fish like Tangs---how do you get them outta there? With those traps you mention?

thanks.............
