Hey all.. I just noticed a red/white ulcer like bump on the rear third of my black clown fish.. The fish is eating like a little pig still but I'm concerned this can spread to my other fish and obviously that my fish could die, which I would really hate. Can anyone help identify this illness for me and help me find a way to treat it? Unfortunately I don't have a sick tank... =/ I'm attaching a picture of him...

I would take him out and place him in a qt tank. start to lower the salinty to 1.0009 and while you are doing that use some melafix marine. place an air stone or something give oygen to the water. MAKE SURE TO KEEP PH UP hypo causes ph to go down.

Did you all of a sudden notice it or has it been getting worse? Could someone in the tank have inflicted the wound? I wouldn't do anything too drastic yet watch it and see how it goes, it may just get better on it's own. It in a curious spot one a predetor would hti like maybe a crab...

Good luck!
