I'v had yellow tail damsels spawn in my tank just after the light goes off i think the female fans the eggs to release them in the water colm. Soon after the blue green chromis come out and eat them.I currently have one male and two females no babies in a while. They can be very aggresive they will take on fish that's much bigger than they are.Are clownfish damsels?

If you are planning to keep the aggessive ones it's best to put them i your tank all at once or keep some in a small tank to give yourself time to get some more. Males are less aggressive to females and if they don't have any territory to defend so try to obtain more females but when the male is trying to mate thats another story. In some species the female has a more rounded belly than the male. Some damsels species go through dramatic color change. These are one of my favorite fish good luck.

I have over three dozen in a 350 for over a year now and about eight of them for 5 years in one of my clients tanks. They look great and as long as they are fed well they don't get aggressive.

nice one. i wasnt thinking of getting green chromis as most shoals that i know of have dissapeared slowly to the last one.
i think i will go for yellowtail blues and see how it goes.
it feels weired because for the last 5 years i have been telling people to stay away from them, lol
