I'd like to keep a "large" number of small fish in the reef. The tank is a standard 75g with 6 x 54 t5 lighting, Vortech MP20, HOB refugium and Octopus (300?) HOB skimmer rated for a 135 gallon tank. Most of the corals are SPS.

Currently I have the following fish:

Royal Gramma
Sharknose goby (like the neon cleaner)
Red firefish
Purple firefish (and yes, the 2 firefish get along fine)
Bangaii Cardinal
Tailspot Blennie

Do you think I've reached the fish limit?

I was considering adding 1 or 2 of the following:

5 Red Striped gobies (Trimma canus)
3-5 Green Banded Gobies (Elacatinus multifasciatus)
Curious Wormfish
3 Barnacle Blennies
McCosker Flasher Wrasse (male)

Opinions and other fish suggestions are welcome.

I would say you have plenty of room left; the fish you have are all pretty much what I think of when I think of fish for a nano so stocking a 75 with lots of little fish is a cool idea. I would say you could fit more, more, MORE!!! :) :sgrin:

I love the blue-green chromis when they form shoals in larger tanks. Really cool shimmer in bright lights :)

I like the Yasha Haze, but am worried that the firefish might not like it due to similar morphology. A red scooter is a nice idea. I'd like to get something that stays on the bottom. I'm not sure if I have enough pods yet though - tank is only 6 months old.

Clown gobies are out right now - I don't want anything pestering my acros until they're of decent colony size.

I have one yasha, and a mated pair of firefish in a 75. The Yasha is a bit of a recluse, sticking to the area just outside of his burrow. The firefish are a foot away and have never paid any attention to him.

My scooter spends time on the bottom, but also searches every inch of every rock in my system. And he loves small granular sinking food. I make sure to drop some in every day or two. And he will occasionally nab some mysis or other meaty bits if they pass right by him. The thought of him starving never passes my mind anymore. He's actually a tad bit chunky now. :P
