I'm by no means a member of the "Tang Police" but I do think that would be way to many tangs in a 72g tank. The Bio load alone would be a killer on your system, Tangs love to poop!

i second this, it most certainly not a good idea in that small of a tank. remember the smaller the tank the more territorial fish get. i had 4 in the 120 at one point but they were tiny....at first then some how the got a hold of tang steroids and grew from 2.5"-4" in a matter of months. now im down to just 2.

well also the reason for the overstock of fish is bc i have my 90 gallon cycling and some of the fish are going to move in there, so im not worried about it ,,bring it on coppers!!! lmaooo

When my 220 was a FOWLR I had 5 tangs. A yellow, a Hippo, Naso, Kole and Vlamingi. Lots of people told me I was asking for trouble and I dismissed them saying they all got along great and at the time they did. Then after a few months of peace and harmony all He"" broke loose! They ganged up on the Kole Tang and beat him so bad I had to nurse him back to health in the sump and give him away. Next, they ganged up on the Valmingi. (don't know if I spelled it right). Anyway, point is, if 5 were too many in a 220 I think you're asking for trouble with 4 in a 72.

they should get along fine as long as they dont play scapel fights and/or catch ick.
while you're at it, get a achilles tang too.
