Monti cap salt blast

My green monti cap was hit with a salt blast! After one weeks time 80% of the green tissue is gone my question is do I frag what's left of the coral or will the green fuzzy tissue grow back? I've had luck with tissue loss on plate corals growing back but not sure on montis.

Saving the coral is important...not letting this happen again, is more important!
Are you mixing salt in the tank?

I wanted to raise my salanity I little bit so I took a 32oz container of ro water with a half cup of salt shook the container up and thought the salt was desolved poored it in the tank not realizing a big clump of salt was still at the bootom of the container! No excuses I took a shortcut and paid for it! That won't ever happen again. What's worse is I grew the coral from a 2" frag to an 10 " x 10" beautiful piece in less than a year. I'm sick over it

Not a good idea to add salt that way to your tank, you can kill all your corals that way.
It might come back if you leave it be.
