ph controller question

hey everyone question im hooking up my cal reactor ,i have a reef keeper lite the probe now is calibrated from a range of 7.0 to 10.0 i am going to have the return line drip into a influant cup, my cal reactor does not have a place for the probe ,do i need to recalibrate the ph probe to a range of 4.0 to 7.o so i can take the reading off my discharge from the reactor ? and if so once i do do that can i dip the ph probe back into the main tank for a reading even though i calibrated it for the cal reactor ,im basically trying to see if i need another probe and controller to read the ph in the main or if i can get away with just using the one and dipping from the influent cup to the main depending on what i wanna check

I've always used 2 ph probes. One in effluent cup, the other in main tank to always know my tanks ph.

I just use the one....sits in the cup all the time to constantly monitor the reactor..dip it in the sump for tank PH and also into the kalk mixed top off to make sure it's good too....

mike so whatta u calibrate it with which 2 solutions the 4 and 7 or the 7 and 10 like normal mine is calibrated right now for 7 to 10

I've used all of them over the years..whatever I can find.

Charlie, calibrate it the way you always do, use 7 and 10
