Hob filter question?

So I had a hob filter laying around I run gfo in a reactor but po4 still high was gonna run some extra gfo in a filter bag also some filter floss and change it out every few days what u guys think ?

be careful when adding more GFO...I don't like to use more than the recommended amount per gallon...too much to quickly will strip the water to fast and also will play havoc with the alk..both are killers...

Im using a bunch right now po4 won't budge below .25 I added a small amount in the hob which I'll change every 3 days

GFO should mainly be used to maintain phos at a low level.

To get high phos down, u can run Phosguard (alum oxide) for only a few days to drop the level, then switch over to GFO.
