when do you change ro cartridge?

just got a 16 on my tds from my ro water, is it time to change it?

Depends on the Tds at the tap.. is that reading before or after the Di?

you need to change now! 16 is high. i never let mine go above 0

Membranes are rated between 96 & 98% efficiency. So depending on how high your tap Tds is its possible to get a reading after the RO.
That's what the Di is for to get what's left to 0 Tds. Thats also why they have dual DI kits.
Also a used up Di resin will leach solids back in.

if the ro is too high wont it deplete the di quickly. also i use the ro for my drinking water so wonder if its time to change

45 out of the tap is super low! That's filtered water readings..

Does sound like a bad membrane.

But just check anyways the reading after the sediment/carbon filters, but before the membrane?

What pressure are you seeing?

Also, have u checked the ratio of waste water output to RO output?
