I was told that I could use iodine and use that to dip corals instead of using like coral rx, and brands like that.

Does the regular iodine work as well as the others? If so, what kind? I see multiple kinds of iodine sold at stores, each made with different chemicals.

when i used it i used a small bucket i used some of the water that i made from my other bucket remember dont use the water from ur main tank...but anyways i just put some in till the water turn a chocolaty color in the small bucket. just dip the coral 3-5 times. pass them over to your tank. after u have done that just dump out the water a lil bit and you will c lil critters that come out of the corals you just dipped in. its best to dump out the water in the bathroom toilet.

Freshwater with or without iodine is def the cheapest. Coral and revive aren't bad either if you buy a smaller size. It goes a pretty long ways especially if you only make enough water for what you're dipping. No point of making a gallon if you are dipping 10 Polyps of zoas.

The Bayer treatment is supposed to be amazing on aefw...but anyone who has used this does it work on anything else? Otherwise if you don't keep sps or acros would it be worth it to use?
