Jonathan, you don't have to shake if you have a air pump, right?? Just let it still there for a few days.. But I read that you have to put some micro algae grow solution in the bottle.

I just got my 2L of pyhtoplankton. it's nice and green, looks good enough to drink. I added 1/4 cup to the tank.
I hope the clam will be happy.

Even before the clam I had no vacation. For the past 3-4 months, I have not had any time off the tank. Nonstop I tell you. Goto work, come home fix this, make this, take this put there, etc... Someone should have told me that keeping a reef tank is more trouble that having a girlfriend.. Maybe that would scare me away.. Hahha LOL :D :D :D

clamdate

well, I moved my clam off the floor of the tank. I don't think it was getting enough light, and it seemed agitated it was not on a rock. it kept rocking back and forth, and would knock itself over.
I placed it on a flat rock about 8" below the surface under a 175 10K. it has opened more than when it was on the bottom, and has stopped moving. the only problem now is when it starts to grow the space will not be the best for it. when i get the new 250's for the center part of my tank I may move the clam on the rock back down to the bottom. It will have plenty of room to grow.

ctx, I read you should put a rock under the clam to prevent worms in the sand, and snails, from burrowing into the clams body.

Really.. I didn't think of that. Since you seem to did a little more research on that matter, than I do ;) . I going to listen to you and put the clam higher like you did and put a rock under it. I hope it will like the extra light that it will be getting. Thanks for the tips.

So are you ready to get a shot of your baby, yet?
