Most likely they were use to the power of the MHs, but changing to T5 if you have enough shouldn't be an issue, maybe run your T5s for an hour or so longer each day see if that helps, eventually go back to normal 8hrs though.

LPS are hard to keep growing under T5 unless you have enough. In my 75 my SPS do fine with 4 T5 daylight 54w and 2 54w actinics. So I am still running 200+ w of T5 which I prefer any day to 200w of MH, but in the end MH is best for SPS, shouldnt be an issue for LPS either way unless they are too close to the MH

You should have lowered your light cycle instead of taking bulbs out of the fixture. Btw, the coral are not going to acclimate as fast as I think you want them too. Lol... But with several days, they should at least show some sign of improvement. If there's no sign of improvement after a week of acclimation, then I would raise the light cycle by an hour a week until you see the coral are all comfortable with the new light cycle.

Well... its been a several weeks now and all of my corals don't seem happy. Under my halide, one of my softies was about 7 inches in length, and now, its small and not full whatsoever.

Anything I could do?

None of my LPS are as big as they used to be either
